My work explores the theatricality of domestic life where the actors are ordinary subjects in every-day settings. In today's digitally stimulating world, we often forget to observe the real people, places, and activities around us. There's so much nuance in the shapes, colors, and forms hiding in plain view among the stuff we surround ourselves with. Right now, I'm interested in scenes that artificial intelligence can't (yet) capture: anecdotes in medias res. Imagine a busy home kitchen during the act of meal preparation, an occupied car mechanic's garage at noon on a Tuesday, or a garden just before it gets weeded. Moments like these are infinitely interesting to me.
