My name is Frances (Fran) Ryan, a resident of the North Valley. I am one of the original members of the Guadalupe Studio Tour and have been Painting for 40 years. My first 25 or so in watercolor, which I taught for a few years, and in which I was accepted several years to the New Mexico Arts and Crafts Fair., Bardeen Miniatures (23 yrs) as recently as this month, where I Was happy to receive a First Place in the pastel division which is my current Medium. My subjects are mostly landscapes of Northern New Mexico, often With animals, trucks, birds, churches, and villages. I plan to show acrylics as well As pastels from 4x6 to about 16x20, I have worked at El Zocalo Gallery, Las Vegas, NM, and am part of a current show in Socorro. I belong to a Plein Air Group, Camino Real Artists that has a show Two or three times a year in cities from Las Vegas To Socorro. In the past I have shown my work for many years at Gallery ABQ and Tome gallery., and been accepted for more than 20 years at the New Mexico State Fair Fine Arts division.
