Given a camera at 9 and building a darkroom with my father’s help at age 12, I developed a deep and lasting relationship with the magic of the photographic process. This was later enhanced with a Bachelors degree and Masters work in Fine Art and Photography. Using the 4×5 view camera, Hasselblad, Minolta and Rolliflex medium format; and various digital and film cameras, this vision and passion is portrayed in images of mountains, waterfalls, snow, ocean, city, rural, underwater and calming desert scenes all with a desire to find the essence and simple truth of each location and subject matter.  Living over 35 years in the North Valley has deepened my love of the people and my relationship with the historic and rural nature of the land and river valley so unique to this area.
