I am an Albuquerque native and lifelong resident of the North Valley. Scenes from the valley often appear in my work as do the majestic cottonwoods, the agricultural fields, the beautiful acequias and the animals. Aspen trees, adobe walls and buildings, peaceful flocks of sheep, dusty pathways and distant mesas are some of my favorite subjects.

I especially like transparent watercolor. Transparency is the glowing effect that results in applying paint in thin washes and allowing the white of the paper to replace the use of white pigment.

I am a self-taught artist, a signature member of the New Mexico Watercolor Society and a member of the Amapola Gallery in Old Town.
